This Privacy Policy explains how Panda Habits (“Panda Habits”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you visit our website, buy the Panda Habits Journal, or use the free Panda Habits companion app (together, the “Services”). We keep data collection to a minimum by design.
Who we are

What information we collect
We collect only what we need to run the Services:
- Website analytics. We use Google Analytics (via Firebase) to understand aggregate, anonymised usage, pages visited, approximate region, device type, and referring source. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies.
- Purchases. When you buy the journal, checkout and payment are handled by our third-party commerce provider, Gumroad. We receive order and fulfilment details (such as name and shipping address) needed to ship your order. We never see or store your full card details.
- The companion app. Your habit entries and streaks are stored locally on your device. The app does not require an account. If enabled, we collect only anonymised, aggregated usage analytics to improve the app; we do not sell your data and do not collect the content of your habits.
- Contact. If you email us, we keep your message and address to reply and provide support.
How we use your information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the website, journal, and app.
- To fulfil and ship orders you place.
- To understand aggregate usage so we can make the Services better.
- To respond to your enquiries and provide customer support.
Cookies and analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to power Google Analytics/Firebase. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work. Where required by law, we ask for your consent before non-essential analytics cookies are set. Google’s handling of this data is governed by its own privacy policy.
Third parties we work with
- Google / Firebase, website and app analytics.
- Gumroad, checkout, payment processing, and order fulfilment.
- Apple App Store, distribution of the companion app.
These providers process data under their own privacy policies. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
Legal basis for processing (EEA/UK)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process personal data on the basis of: performance of a contract (to fulfil your order), your consent (for non-essential analytics cookies), and our legitimate interests (to secure and improve the Services). You may withdraw consent at any time.
Data retention
We keep order records only as long as needed for accounting, tax, and support obligations. Analytics data is retained in aggregated form according to our analytics provider’s standard retention settings. App habit data lives on your device and is removed when you delete the app.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, email info@landauer.de. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Children’s privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Data security & international transfers
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. Some providers may process data outside your country; where they do, appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) apply.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a revised effective date.
